Meet The Sunnyside Team!

Hey, I’m Ibrahim!

You can call me Ibby since we’re officially friends now.

If my house caught on fire and I only had 5 seconds to leave, I’d be running out with my guitar in one hand and my camera bag in the other. Though my passions for camera work and music seem at first unrelated, I truly believe that these two mediums allow you to express raw emotion in a powerful and intangible way. Something you can’t touch, but your heart feels stronger than anything.

I love posing people, and then capturing the moments in between. It’s not as much about how perfectly posed the shot is, as much as it is about the glow in people’s eyes, smiles, and skin as they’re immersed in the atmosphere of love around them. That’s what I live for.

It’s an honor to be entrusted to capture memories for my couples and their families. Visuals that will evoke emotions just as powerful in their old age, as they do on their wedding day.

Things I love: God, my wife Salma, my family (#1 rated family in the world), guitars, cooking, spontaneous adventures, minimalism, coffee and chai, anime, and New York City. Feel free to bond with me over these things!

Hey, I’m Salma!

If you found me through instagram, you know my classic #MessyMondays is a combination of things that I am passionate about: art, food, social justice and of course, loves stories.

My angsty teenage years never really left me, I am still ridiculously in love with romantic comedies (yes, I still cry through them) and tend to pretend like my life is living through one, which is to say, things never get boring!

I get excited when I meet a couple for the first time and I can pick up on their little quirks, the things that make their relationship magic. Like the little wrinkle of a nose, a small blush from a kiss on the cheek, or the subtle movement of a hand brushing against another; for me, it's not about creating a moment, it’s bringing out the natural loving moments that already exist between you.

Each photo is a timestamped moment in your personal romantic comedy, and years from now, I hope you can look back on these moments, laugh and cry as you reminisce, and tell this tale over and over again to friends and family.
